Renewatch (https://renewatch.com) watches domain names you choose and emails you when something about them changes or is about to lapse. Using the site or creating an account means agreeing to these terms. Questions to alerts@renewatch.com.
Renewatch is a monitoring and alerting aid. It reads public sources — domain registries over RDAP, the DNS, TLS certificates — and tells you what they say. It is not a registrar: it cannot renew, transfer or modify your domains, and an alert from us is information, never an action taken on your behalf.
You remain solely responsible for renewing your domains. The data we read comes from third parties who can be wrong, late or unreachable; some registries publish no expiry data at all, and where that is the case we say so on the domain's page and in the confirmation email. Alerts are delivered on a best-effort basis and can be delayed or lost in transit like any email. Treat Renewatch as a second pair of eyes, not as the calendar.
Signing in requires proving control of an email address, because that address is where alerts go. You may only watch domains for lawful monitoring purposes. We may suspend an account that abuses the service — automated scraping of the check endpoint, monitoring at a volume plainly meant to burden the infrastructure, or use of the service in connection with attacks on the domains watched.
The free plan and its limits are described on the pricing section. The paid plan is a monthly subscription billed by Stripe; we never see or store card details. You can cancel any time from the account page — cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and your watches keep working on the free plan's terms afterwards.
EU withdrawal right: you may withdraw from a new subscription within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason, by cancelling on the account page or writing to alerts@renewatch.com — if you do, we refund the payment in full. The service starts immediately on payment, with your express agreement, rather than after the withdrawal period.
Where you connect a Cloudflare account, Renewatch acts only on your explicit click, writes only the specific DNS record shown to you beforehand, and does not retain the access token — it is used for that single operation and then revoked. You are responsible for the contents of your own DNS zone.
The service is provided as-is, without warranty that any particular event will be detected or any particular alert delivered. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including liability for intent or gross negligence — and nothing in them limits the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
We may amend these terms; material changes are announced by email to account holders before they take effect, and continuing to use the service after that is acceptance. You can end the agreement at any moment by deleting your account on the account page, which removes your data as described in the privacy policy.
